Congratulations to Jamey Taylor 2020
Fossil Creek Open Champion
Taylor (+2 Hcp) Captures
$1,925.00 at Fossil Creek
Ft. Worth, TX. July 11, 2020
Taylor, of Pearland, Texas, teed it
up at the 2020 FOSSIL CREEK OPEN
this past Saturday 7/11/20, and
captured the winner's spot over 17
fellow competitors by posting a
final score of 2 under par Net 70.
Jamey, sporting a handicap of +2 (meaning
he had 2 strokes ADDED to his gross score), bettered Travis Brown,
(10hcp) from McKinney, Texas by a single stroke and took home over
$1,925.00 in total winnings.
Jamey's prize represents the largest
single round event ca$h award on the Legacy Golf Tour to date.
All non-Super Senior Net Division players
were again afforded an additional stroke of handicap per USGA
Handicapping Section 3-5 recommendations when utilizing a split tee
setup, which was the case with Super Seniors also participating.
Without the added stroke of handicap, the raw winning net score for
the event calculates to only 1 under par net, a great testimony to
the fairness afforded players by the tour-tested Legacy proprietary
handicapping system. Players finishing in the money included those
posting net scores of 2 over par 74, or 3 over net 75 when viewed
with their raw, unadjusted handicap.
Total payout for the event came to
$4,270.00 in ca$h and another $2,525.00 in gift certificates for
discounted or free rounds of golf. Ca$h and certificates totalled
$6,795.00 for this single round event. Compare this value that
placed either ca$h or gift certificates into the hands of 17 out of
the 18 total players entered for an entry fee UNDER $200.00 and we
think you cannot find a better competitive value anywhere!

Congratulations to Michael McCaffrey 2020 El Dorado
2 Handicap Takes Home Over
$1,800.00 in Total Winnings!
Ft. Worth, TX. March 10, 2020.
Michael McCaffrey, (2Hcp), from
League City, Texas, narrowly won the
2020 El Dorado Challenge held at
Quail Valley this past weekend
taking home $1,811.00 in winnings
and becoming the third different
champion for the 2020 season. This
was MIchael's first event and we
congratulate him on his success.
Michael's 3 under par net score of
68 on the par 71 El Dorado course
narrowly topped runner-up Juan
Naranjo (8 Hcp - Net 69) and first
time player Kinley Lee (3 Hcp - Net
70) in securing his win. All Net
Division players had one additional
stroke added to their handicap in
accordance with previously
established USGA handicapping rules
governing competitions that include
a split tee setup due to the
participation of Super Senior
players from a forward tee.
Without the added stroke, Michael's
raw net winning score comes in at a
net 69, which is only 2 under par
net. Additionally, only one other
player would post a net score under
par. We want to be clear concerning
the effectiveness of the Legacy Golf
Tour handicapping process and how it
ensures fairness across the board
for all players. Players posting net
scores around par can expect to be
in the running at most all events
with the handicapping controls in
place that safeguard the accuracy of
player handicaps. You can trust the
Legacy Golf Tour proven handicap
system! Total Payout & Upcoming
S. Texas Event
This event paid out $2,708.00 in
total cash with the Optional Games
included. Another $300 worth of gift

helpful through providing some great
product samples to nearly all
players participating. Cash and
awards were presented to all but one
of the players participating.

11 Handicap Takes Home Over
$1,500.00 in Total Winnings!
Ft. Worth, TX - Feb. 26, 2020
The sun shined bright on Tomball,
Texas' Jeffrey Stahlhut, (11 Hcp),
as he topped a field of 15 players
to take the guaranteed winner share
of $1,250.00 and another $373.00 in
optional game monies and gift awards
at the recently completed Traditions
Classic at Cypresswood.
Jeffrey posted a 3 under par net 69
finishing a single stroke ahead of
runner-up Brandon Blaise (17 Hcp)
from Spring, TX and winner of
$675.00 in cash and prizes.
All Net Division players had one
additional stroke added to their
handicap in accordance with
previously established USGA
handicapping rules governing
competitions that include a split
tee setup. This event featured a
number of Super Seniors competing
from a tee forward of the non-senior
competitors, resulting in an equity
adjustment being allocated to those
players playing from a tee behind
because of their higher course
When the added stroke is not
included, the raw net winning score
posted by Jeffrey comes in at a net
70, which is only 2 under par net.
In addition. only two total players
would be posting net scores under
par. We wanted to bring this to the
attention of our readers to ensure
they understand the Legacy Golf Tour
handicapping system and policies are
tour-tested, tour-proven, and ensure
equity exists between players
competing with differing skill
The event paid out $2,995.00 in
total cash with the Optional Games
included. Another $530 worth of gift
certificates and products were also
distributed. This brought cash and
awards to a total of 9 out of the 15
players (60%) participating.
Congratulations to Jeffrey for his
first win and all our players for a
great second event of the 2020 S.
Texas, Houston area, season.
